Ballville Township has been informed that they have been awarded a grant from the State of Ohio for $250,000 to continue the Development of Chudzinski Johannsen Conservancy Park. The application was submitted in March by Trustee Bob Kusmer.
I would like to thank Representative Gary Click in the House and Senator Bill Reineke in the Senate for sponsoring our application through the legislation process.
The money will be used to put the final course of pavement on the roadway throughout the park. Entrance gates will be constructed at each end of the road and the final touches to the pond will be done.
The walking paths that were started last year, will be finished with an 8-foot hard walking surface throughout the park. Construction on the upper parking lot will also continue this year.
The continued improvements in the park will be funded by grants and donations. No Township tax dollars have been used for construction. If you would like to donate to the park, your tax-deductible support can be sent to Ballville Township for the care of Chudzinski Johannsen Park.
We would like to thank the residents especially for their support and please continue to enjoy our park.
