It was with mixed emotion I went to the retirement party for one of the Township’s employees and my friend. Ken Hoffman has been with the Township for over twenty-three years. During that time, Ken always greeted me with a smile and asked “How’s Bob”. Ken took care of Ballville Township residents all these years. In the early winter mornings, while we slept, he would be out plowing the roads so we could make it to work safely. If a storm sewer was overflowing, he was the one out there fixing it. And, with the passing of a loved one, Ken was the one digging the grave. He was a man who made me proud of the people who work for Ballville. Monday, February 28, 2022, was Kenny’s last day as an employee for our Township. His dedication to our residents will be missed by all of us. We are happy for Ken and his wife Rita for making it to retirement and are able to enjoy the next chapter of their lives. We wish you and Rita a long and wonderful life. You will be missed, my friend!
