ELECTED TRUSTEES

Bob Kusmer

Bob is serving his 13th year as Trustee. He is a life-long resident of the Fremont area and has lived in Ballville for 47 years.  Bob has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for 7 years and vice chair for 4 years.

Mr. Kusmer has also written various grants for Ballville, bringing to the Township over $2,254,895.  In total for all the Townships in Sandusky County, Bob has received awards for grants totaling $ 4,396,844.  These grants were for Roads, Parks, Stormwater, CARES Act and the Fire Department. 

Bob is also serving as the Chief Executive Officer for the Townships on Issue 2 grants.  He also represents the townships on the county’s board for Ohio Public Works Commission Program. 

Bob also represents the Township on the following committees: Tax Incentive Management Committee, Advisory Board for the Health Dept., Emergency Management Committee, Sandusky County Comprehensive Plan, Sandusky County Mitigation Plan, and the Sandusky County Economic Development Board.

Mr. Kusmer is a member of the Ohio Township Association.  He is the Legislation Representative for Sandusky County Township Association to the state association. He has served as the vice president for the organization. 

Bob is retired after serving as the owner of Kusmer & Associates, Inc an Architectural, Engineering and Surveying firm in Fremont for 33 years. He has also taught at Bowling Green State University, Terra State College and various seminars for the Professional Surveyors of Ohio. He has been active over the past thirty years serving on many committees in the community.

He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Bob and his wife Betty have two children Kyle, wife Kristen, and Jodi, husband Matt Moss, and four grandchildren.

Dr.-Richard-Geyer - Ballvillie Trustee

Dr. Richard Geyer

Trustee Term: 2016-2019

Dr. Geyer was elected to Trustee and took office in January 2012. He is a life-long resident of Ballville Township. Dr. Geyer is an adjunct faculty member for Liberty University, Grand Canyon University, and Southwest Baptist University. He earned his baccalaureate from Ohio University, MBA from Tiffin University, and Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Geyer and his wife, Jennifer, have two children. His previous employment includes the Sandusky County Department of Human Services, Sandusky County Health Department (14 years), Director of W.S.O.S. Senior Programs & TRIPS, Tiffin University and Mt. Vernon Nazarene University.

He is a member of Grace Community Church where he serves as an usher/greeter and leader of Single Purpose Bible Study for single adults. He has volunteered as a basketball coach for Special Olympics (10 yrs.) and other community youth sports. He has served on the Ballville Township Board of Zoning Appeals, Advisory Board for Easter Seal Society of Sandusky County, Kids In Crisis Village House Board, Ohio Public Health Association Governing Council, Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board, Board of Ohio Safe Kids Coalition, N.W. Ohio Traffic Safety Consortium, and founded the Sandusky County Organized Teens, Inc. and Sandusky County SAFE Kids Coalition.

Mary Ann Reser

Trustee Term: May 2021 to present

Mary Ann was born in Ballville enjoying her childhood growing up “out in the country”. She has resided in the township for most of her adult life, creating fond memories of a safe rural community.

Ms. Reser has spent 30+ years as a public servant.  Most recently she is serving as the Court Administrator for Sandusky County Juvenile/Probate Court.  She is charged with the administration of the Court’s $2,100,000 budget and 20 employees along with managing the day to day operations of the court.  Her experience in budget management, audit and compliance, project management, process management, comprehension of complex government rules and regulations and technology has enabled her to support the mission of the Court and the families and youth of Sandusky County.  She also has had the pleasure of working with numerous elected officials, which has enabled her to witness first hand government operations while serving in fiscal, administrative, human resources, risk management and other support positions with the Sandusky County Commissioners and the Department of Jobs and Family Services.  “It is my desire to put all that I have learned into practice to serve the residents of Ballville Township.”

She is a graduate of Fremont Ross H.S. and has an Undergraduate Degree from Lassen College.  In 2012, she graduated as a Certified Court Manager from the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Mary Ann is married to Tim Reser and they have four adult children between them, and have been blessed with four grandchildren.  They are members of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
